Tonic Note Records is a label inspired by 3 years of conversations I've had with producers and artists making electronic music.

We were looking for a home for our music, music that didn't seem to fit in with club scene, and was too dancey or weird for the indie pop labels.

So this label is a home for electronic music that doesn't have a home.

On our first compilation, I wanted to tell a story, and after years of gigs, festivals, and clubs, I thought the story of a night out would be the perfect plot.

Firstly, MEMOREX MEMORIES lays down a chilled out, vapour wave, pre-drinks in the park vibe with "It All Gets A Little Easier".

HOSTEL FREAKS track "Attention Please" is next, with its funky bass line a tribute to Edinburgh's best bar of all, Paradise Palms, and a nod to all the disco fuelled nights had there.

Next up is DUSTY HAYES with "Granite", a track that defines the Tonic Note Records parties we throw. It's an absolute dance floor smasher with glitched out Nintendo samples and 16bit melodies.

YOKER MOON mixes the night up with his "Tension Remix" of "Attention Please". A twitchy, creepy, IDM warping of Hostel Freaks' track: this is definitely the sound track to a paranoid night bus home.

Lastly, CAMSHACLE treats us to the prog-tronica epic of "Slow Burn", rounding off the night (or reaching into the next morning?) snuggled in a duvet , brain still buzzing, trying to piece together ... what exactly just happened?
